Founder of the Housing Alliance Sarah Charlotte is to be congratulated for her leadership in representing the victims of the Tasmanian housing crisis (Mercury 16 February)
In contrast such leadership is sadly missing within our political establishment.
I call upon Premier Peter Gutwein to repeat the leadership he displayed when the Covid19 pandemic began and formally declare a state of emergency in accessible and affordable housing in this state.
There is so much that can and needs to change across our Business , Banking and Local Government institutions that only strong leadership could achieve.
I am reminded of a quotation attributed to Albert Einstein: that the ” level of thinking that causes a problem, is not the level of thinking required to solve it”. This could be your finest hour Mr. Gutwein.
